Respite Care
Literally defined as “a short period of rest or relief from something difficult” respite care is an important piece of any caregiving journey.
Respite is not escape. Respite is not a beach vacation with waves lulling you to sleep.
Respite is a necessary portion of caregiving. It’s a reset, its a deep breath.
Its taking care of your loved one by taking care of you.
(… but the beach vacation sure sounds nice. )
