Penn Frontotemporal Degeneration Center Familial Conference: Uncovering the Genetics of FTD/ALS

Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 3PM EST / 12PM PST

The Penn FTD Center understands the impact a diagnosis can have on an entire family, and this virtual, live event will address the unique challenges and situations that arise from familial or genetic disease. This exclusive conference is designed to recognize and address these topics for people living with or at risk for a familial and/or genetic form of FTD/ALS.

While the conference best serves the needs of persons at risk or persons diagnosed, we invite anyone who may find value to join – such as support persons, health care providers, and others.

This event will give you the chance to hear from genetic counselors, neurologists, social workers, and more, and we strongly encourage attendees to ask questions during the event and/or in advance.

Re-Members Only Writing Workshop

Thursday, February 24, 2022, 9PM EST / 6PM PST

Our Re-Members Only group event this month is a writing workshop led by Rachael.

During this relaxing community event, Rachael will walk us through writing prompts to help us process our grief (wether you’re still on the FTD Journey, or “on the other side”) in a healthy and creative way. The prompts Rachael walks us through will help us string together a beautiful love letter to our loved one.

Bring a pen/pencil and a pad of paper + your favorite cozy beverage, and get ready for a lovely evening with friends who “get it”.

If you’re not a Re-Member and have questions about our group, send us an e-mail. We’d love to hear from you.
